what is web rewilding?
The term borrows from ecological rewilding - the practice of restoring ecosystems by removing human management and letting nature reassert itself. Applied to the web, it's the idea that we should loosen the grip of platform capitalism and let the weird, personal, distributed web grow back.
It's related to:
- The IndieWeb movement
- The Small Web ethos
